Think Pink: Breast Cancer Support Products
By Alexandra Bornhoft, Citysearch Editor
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and you’ll find hundreds of products are emblazoned with the pink ribbon logo, colored pink or sold with the promise of a donation to support public awareness or cancer research. Whether you’re cooking, drinking or shopping for the cure, there are plenty of products to remind us to think pink this month—and we’ve found some fun picks.
Philosophy Shower for a Cure (Sephora)
Think of it as the ultimate bathroom triple threat—a creamy all-in-one combination of milk proteins and fruit essence that can be used as shampoo, shower gel or bubble bath. A long-time philosophy fan favorite, morning multi-taskers and shower-lingerers alike delight in the sweet simple scent and skin-silkening effects. As the brand adheres to its own personal philosophy of living life well and vivaciously, 100% of net proceeds will be donated to EIF’s Woman’s Cancer Research Fund.

GHD IV Pink Styler (Sephora)
Rock the season’s trendy, super-sleek blunt bob (think Katie Holmes) with help from this shocking pink hair iron from British-import GHD (stands for good hair day, folks). The ceramic iron helps protect your strands from damage and creates straight, silky locks. It’s got a dual-purpose, too—if volume and body is your hair mantra, the rounded barrel makes for easy curls, flips and boho twists. $15 from each sale supports the Young Survival Coalition, an organization that encourages young women to become advocates for their own health. Now that’s hot.
