I had been going here for a while when it was owned by Lynda Johnson. I stuck with it since the hygenists and everyone there are really nice. I hardly have to wait in the reception room and they're pretty quick but thorough on my regular 6 month cleanings. And maybe I'm just lucky with my teeth but unlike some other dentists I've gone to, it's not a painful experience.

I recently went to Dr. Baker for some fillings, and I thouroughly enjoyed my experience. The numbing shots are usually extremely painful for me, but with Dr. Baker it just felt like a tiny little poke. I really like his staff. They are extremely friendly, and everyone in his office is very informative. I always knew what was going on when they were working on me, and that made me feel a lot more comfortable. It was the most positive dental visit I've ever had.
Pros: informative, gentle, great staff

Going to the dentist is not high on my favorites list, mostly because I hate waiting or traveling to find a place. Dr. Baker's office is right downtown by Nordstrom, and they validate parking at Pacific Place or the Medical Dental Building. I never wait more than a minute or two in the lobby for the hygienist, and she gets me started right away. (Ahn is the most thorough hygienist I've never had.) So "check" on the convenience. Dr. Baker teaches me more about my mouth than any other dentist, showing me what's going on and how I can reverse or stop decay. And, while this isn't a pediatric practice per se, I've had both of my kids in to see him, and they are very comfortable and actually look forward to going. That's a first for our crew. So, big thumbs up... even for a dentist.
Pros: no waiting, thorough, informative, relaxing
Cons: Building parking is a little slow, so park at Pacific Place (they validate there too)

I just had a crown done in Dr. Baker's office, and I was a bit nervous since I'd never had a crown before. Everyone in Dr. Baker's office was really nice and worked hard to make sure I was comfortable. They even gave me a soft blanket to cozy up in the dental chair with. Getting the crown put on turned out to be no big deal. Dr. Baker was really competent and explained things as he went along, which I thought was great. There's nothing worse than not knowing what's going on and continually anticipating something unpleasant! Before I knew it, it was over. The crown fit perfectly, the color matched my teeth exactly, and it actually feels nicer than my original tooth. I can't sign off without giving a little shout-out to Louanne, who cleans my teeth. She's really nice and easy to talk to, and she's a great hygienist. She's gentle, thorough, and my teeth always feel awesome when I leave. Somehow, she even manages to inspire me to floss without being preachy. Yeah for Louanne!
Pros: gentle, quality work, validate parking in their building and Pacific Place
Cons: none

Anh was great! I have never had such a great cleaning. None of my previous hygienists compare. I didn't know what I was missing. She gave me candid advise and motivated me to be better about caring for my gums as well as my teeth. The front desk staff made me feel comfortable immediately and have made all my visits really easy and stress free. Dr. Baker is the best! Always happy. He puts me at ease so each procedure is goes off without a hitch.

I just came to Dr. Baker for my first dental appointment in many years. He didn't judge me for it, and gave me a very thorough cleaning and when we were all done - NO CAVITIES! I'm so glad to have found a dentist that doesn't try to push unecessary fillings or make you feel bad if you haven't always treated your teeth the best.
Pros: Nice people, no pressure
Cons: None
