I have been here a few times, always in Summer, and it has always been crowded. Tacos Bacalao (fried fish tacos) are my favorite along with their cactus nachos and Mango Margaritas. Mmmm... Nice having a salsa bar (the mango salsa is my favorite). Try to snag a spot on the deck overlooking the water.

Pros: Tacos, deck dining, salsa, margaritas, Cactus nachos

Cons: Long line, can be a wait esp. on summer weekends, HARD to find parking!

Agua verde is a good spot for lunch, with respectable fish tacos and the other dishes consistently tasty. Honestly though, I only come here because it's close to UW Health Sciences (where I practically live.) It might not be worth a trip out of your way....

At Aqua Verde, you may have to wait in line to order, but it moves quickly and gives you time to decide what you want. This is a great casual mexican spot on the water with killer food and great service. Lots of vegie items (including all sides), but if you eat fish - go for the fish tacos (fried fish). After paddling, be sure to grab a bite here and enjoy the view.

Pros: Tacos, tacos, tacos

I love Agua Verde. Sometimes we have to wait for a table but that is fine because it is well worth is. I love the deck. It has a great vibe. The food is fresh and original. I have never felt rushed or unwelcome. It is great for a night out with friends.

I love the food and drinks at this place. One exceptional part about this restaurant is the take out window -- you can order your food and take it to the waterfront to eat. The atmosphere isn't bad inside, and the patio tables have a fabulous view.

Pros: Food, drinks, waterfront location

Cons: Parking, waiting area quite small

The food still tastes ok but the tacos have plummeted from taco-bus-on-ranier good (and these are *&$#-ing delicious at $1.00 each) to not bad. The problem is that instead of 3 tortillas filled with enough 'stuff' to get 3 good tacos, now you get two tortillas and enough 'stuff' to make 1-1/2 good tacos. The inside menus clearly say that for $10.75 you get three tacos and 2 sides...well, if you only get two tacos and a lame bag of chips for $10.75 then go to the window for an explanation you'll be rebuffed by the understaffed, strangely arrogant and un-accomodating amateurs wait staff. Back to the taco bus on rainier...these tacos are $1.00 each and are massively better than Agua Verde ever has been. Now that Agua Verde is also ripping people off...likely a result of a poorly thought out decision by owners who are either new, greedy, or both. Fortunately, being Seattle, there are alot of really good choices so we'll pursue those, I don't see myself eating here ever again.

Pros: uh...used to be good??

Cons: bad service, no parking, overpriced very average fare, snotty wait staff, understaffed in general

This is easily the best food, and most fun spot in town. The massive crowds are because the food is so good. Don't let a severely depressed / deranged person influence your decision - lettuce dude is a moron. . Anyone that drinks juice rather than the best margi's in town should never have been allowed in the door :)

Pros: Food, location, atmosphere

Cons: none

I unwillingly went to this place with friends, wanting to give them a second chance. The wait was huge as usuall. Something I am happy to overlook if the food is fresh and the service is good. The chips were obviously from a bag, the gucamole tasted frozen and they charge you extra if you want chips &guacamole and salsa..I didn't ask for salsa but was still charged 3 dollars for it. The "fresh" juice I recieved was indeed canned when I asked.. and the food was completely overpriced for what it was. Next time I feel like waiting for Mexican food that delievers on quality and freshness I will head to La Carta in Ballard.

Pros: View of the water if you are sitting outside

Cons: overpriced, average not so fresh food

I visited Seattle in September 2007 with my mom to visit my brother. He took us to a lot of different places; a mall in Bellevue, a nice restaurant there, too. Then on a Saturday, I think it was, he brought us to a quaint little Spanish restaurant. I was a little skeptical at first because of the name, it means "green water" in Spanish and the inside of the restaurant was different. But once we sat down and started to order our food, I felt better about the place. It took me a while to decide what to get, but I'll never forget what i ordered; seafood enchiladas with rice and beans and it had the most fantastic sauce over the enchiladas. It was quite a large portion and I regret not taking the rest of it with me. It was the best thing I've ever had! If I didn't live all the way on the East Coast, I would go there every chance I get.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing
