I love this place because it's pretty much the only clean asian market in existence. There's great variety of all ethnic foods, so you don't have to stop at the special Chinese store, then the special vietnamese store, then the special thai store, then the special american store, to get all of your ingredients. This place is truly a one stop shop! Yes, it's a little bit pricey, but you're saving a lot of gas money and time. There's also a cute little gift shop and book store area that's fun to browse in. Most staff speak pretty good english so can help you find what you need. Seafood selection and quality is excellent.
Pros: great variety, one stop shop, clean, parking in chinatown!
Cons: expensive

Uwajimaya's is a great place to browse and shop. I like the fact that they have so many different food items to choose from. I also like their wide selection of knick nacks, manga and other magazines, and house stuff. The food court is good...I just love it and miss it.
Pros: Huge variety, fun place to browse and shop
Cons: na

It has a bookstore, which carried all Asian products of magazines, books, CDs, comics, stationaries and all that!!!!!! I love that store~ And the food court has a bubble tea place which sells YUMMY bubble tea, so if you're looking for trying something new, go to that!! it's so good. Overall, I just love it

If you're a big anime fan (like myself ^_-) you'll love spending hours here! Uwajimaya is filled with all the best of Asia's food, snacks, raman, candy and even some cool anime toy imports! You can find Shin brand Ramyen (my favorite is Nong Shim...very spicy and a must try for Korean junkfood! ^_^) Pokey, yamyam, qoo (a very yummy drink) and more! Anyone can find a good bargain if you look. I found the cutest (kawaii!) little porcelain noodle bowl with an adorable anime cat and mouse for only $2.00. I added a very cute reusable child chopstick set (with anime cartoon pandas!) for an extra $1.50. Cheap! Also in the same building is a JP bookstore with too much to list. Expect to spend 100.00 easy, not because its expensive but because you will want EVERYTHING.
Pros: Top asian brands here, TONS of cute stuff, TONS of imports
Cons: obscure brands absent, food court not best, Parking is expensive

with a choice of any type of asian food you can imagine (including filipino, chinese, japanese, vietnamese, hawaiian, etc...) uwajimaya presents the perfect place to pick up food. with its "food court" atmosphere, and healthy asian choices, uwajimaya's is a favorite of mine. whether you are into more tradtional chinese, or would like to try a new type of sushi or a glass of bubble tea, uwajimaya's is the place for you.

It's a nice store, with tons of variety and a nice mix of Asian and American foods. Well, actually, tons of mostly Japanese products and few things from Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam. It's big, but also very expensive, although there's very little to compare to in Seattle. However, the Asian supermarkets up in B.C. make Uwajimaya look like a crappy 7-11. For now it's the best we can get for selection and variety. Parking is free if you shop, that's not stated in the "pay lot" description.
Pros: Asian & Western mixed, yummy snacks, cool food court
Cons: super-inflated prices, mostly Japanese stuff

This is the best asian supermarket I have ever seen! None of the markets in Northern California even come close. The selection is great and it's so clean! We made a special trip to check out this market when we visited Seattle. What a gem! You're definitely going to find things here that you wouldn't find anywhere else. But what's with the parking?? Spend $20 and the parking is free? Yikes. So much for browsing...
