Dr. Zimmer is always kind and gentle. He and his staff are careful to not sound like scolding nannies when they talk about flossing. I think they actually have figured out that adults know how to floss and how often they're supposed to be doing it. They don't act like the patients are naughty children. I used to have a great fear of dental work but due to Dr. Zimmer's pleasantness, patience, and advice, I am completely over it. I wouldn't say I look forward to going in (who *likes having her teeth cleaned?) but I don't *mind it. I like the way he explains different possible courses -- more conservative "wait and see" ones vs. "let's take care of it now" ones, and is actually interested in doing the one that the patient feels more comfortable with. He also understands that people might want to time their procedures in order to capitalize on insurance, and brings up things like this in a casual way that doesn't make people feel uncomfortable. I like the way the simple "cleaning" patients get to go upstairs where they don't have to hear the "eee-eeeeeee" sound of someone being drilled in the next room. (The eee-eeeee being the noise the drill makes, not the sound of someone screaming. LOL.)

Poor results. The office and staff are nice. Great presentation up front. However, the results are poor. I would not go back here.

Pros: Sounds great in the beginning

I first saw Dr. Zimmer after quite a few years of neglecting my teeth (due to no dental insurance). Dr. Zimmer was both encouraging and empathetic, not making me feel guilty over my poor dental habits (up to that point), and even taking extra time on that first visit to be sure my teeth were fully cared for. His office is fully in tune with the technology of the times (think digital x-rays) and the staff is always kind and helpful. I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr Zimmer.

Dr. Zimmer is the best dentist in Seattle. I have always been slightly afraid of going to the dentist for no particular reason since I dont have any cavities. With all their new equipment and gentle staff it makes visitng the dentist a pleasure and not a pain. I'm not scared anymore!

I am 33, typically fearful beyond belief by going to the Dentist and due to a recent tooth issue, I took the advice of a friend who recommended going to Etheridge Family Dentistry in Madison Park. I was immediately at ease upon meeting their wonderful staff in their gorgeous office. I have been in twice now and have been tipped over by their genuine kindness, sensitivity and thoughtfulness in an evening call to see how I was doing after both appointments. My teeth are so much nicer looking!....I have had comments on my smile since going! I have and will continue to recommend this Dentist and team to my friends and family, as my friend did for me.

Pros: Wonderful Dentist, thoughtful staff, beautiful office

Let me start by saying that aesthetically, this office is beautiful! If you are looking for no more than a a great looking office, this is the place to be. Dr. Zimmer has clearly put much into not only a great looking office (you must check out the back office) but a spectacular roof top garden complete with bamboo and an array of birds and flowers. This high tech office complete with digital EVERYTHING clearly has combined efficiency with technology. Initially, I had scheduled an appointment because of a toothache and not only was I a new patient, but they scheduled extra time for me to receive treatment that same day! Dr. Zimmer's employees were all so accomodating to my situation, I was extremely grateful. He is an intelligent, highly knowledgable, and a compassionate dentist with a great sense of humor!
